Magee Ranch

Harry H. Magee arrived in Danville in 1949, bringing his family?s beef cattle operations from Nevada with him. The original Magee Ranches encompassed more than 1200 acres, used for beef operations, a sheep farm and as walnut orchards.

In 1950, Harry sold off the walnut orchards, and then after Harry passed, his sons Hap and Jerry subdivided the remaining ranch land. Hap?s portion of the ranch land became what?s known as the Magee Ranch community.

The exclusive community of Magee Ranch, nestled in the hills of Tassajara Valley, consists of custom and semi-custom homes placed on spacious, oversized lots ranging between 1/4  and 1/2  acre in size. Built by Broadmore Homes from 1992 through 1998, homes in this community include both traditional and craftsman style homes.
